Senior Cycle

Lanesboro Community College is a co-educational, second level school.  Students study a wide range of subjects at higher, ordinary and foundation levels. The Junior Certificate Examination is taken after three years and the Leaving Certificate Examination after five years.

JUNIOR CERT SUBJECTS:

Irish, English, Mathematics, History, Geography, Art, Science, Metalwork, Technical Graphics, Wood Technology, Home Economics, Business Studies, Music, CSPE, SPHE, French/German, Religion

(bold indicates subjects that all students take)

LEAVING CERT SUBJECTS:

Irish, English, Mathematics, History, Geography, French, German, Art, Engineering, Technical Drawing, Construction Studies, Home Economics, Business Studies, Music, Religion, Biology, Agricultural Science, Physics, LCVP Link Modules.

Subjects are offered at both ordinary and honours level, and foundation level Maths.

Students are prepared for entry to all Universities and Third Level Colleges, for apprenticeships and Post Leaving Cert Courses.
